I've always had a soft spot for infographics so when I saw this up on Prolly, posting it here was a no-brainer.

Another commuter jean offering from the mainstream comes in the form of these raw denims from Scotch & Soda. Slim cut with world champs detailing but a release date so close to the Levi's 511 commuter range, they'll have some pretty stiff competition.

Genre de Vie from Photo Booth Works on Vimeo.
Genre de Vie is a project exploring the social effects of the bicycle revival. To quote the intro directly:
In the past few years a growing number of cities worldwide have been (re)discovering the use of the bicycle. Sustainability plays a large role in the motivation behind the revival of the bicycle and takes on different challenges, placing itself in a new and relevant social position. The question then remains whether or not the revitalization and new positioning of the bicycle could contribute to the livability of society.
At present, the film creators are looking for funding to push the project forward. If you are interested in pledging some money, or just want to learn more about the project, check the site out here...

Chrome has a bunch of new product in the 2011 Fall drop but these two were the ones that really caught my eye. The southside shoe in oiled full grain leather built to see you through the rain (maybe worth trying at the moment) and the Niko Camera Bag, weatherproof, padded bag with a lifetime guarantee. Check these and the other new releases up on the Chrome Bags Site.

The latest from the Feather workshop is another banger - the detailing just gets better and better with the bridge detailing on this being the most intricate thing I've seen in a while! Simple colourway and a solid build.

Despite the horrific conditions on Saturday, the jam went ahead with the long jump taking place mid downpour. Luckily the rain subsided and the park dried pretty quickly so as usual some hammers went down.
Again, a fitting tribute to Charles - Sergio Jensen captured these shots: check out more on his flickr.

For those around Leeds this weekend; its gonna be huge. The King for a Day BMX Jam on Hyde park all day saturday - this has been crazy the last two years and a fitting memorial to a good guy. As well as free cake and raffles all day instore at Welcome, they are holding a party at Nation of Shopkeepers which coincides with the latest Yorkshire Puddings prem: Dayzed and Confused. No excuses.

Pretty interesting bit of film from Vans - well worth a watch. I also just read that Muska got arrested for tagging in Hollywood. Come on man, you're a millionaire skateboarder not a 15 year old from Beeston!

This looks amazing - real good turnout on loads of different bike types. Its always good to see race footage from other cities and the mix of camera angle gives a good perspective on what its like to ride that place.

Taking the silhouette of the Mexico 66, Onitsuka added some features targetting the cyclist : A harder rubber outsole. perforated upper and reflective tape worked into the detailing. I'd rock these for sure.

Geraint Thomas - Le Tour de Beers

As I'm sure you will all remember earlier this year, British cyclist extraordinaire Geraint Thomas became the official international ambassador for Fixed Gear Leeds via Twitter - on the condition that we got him a few beers...
Geraint has been tearing through the field over the last 3 days of Le Tour and is currently sitting 4th in the GC at only 4 seconds off the lead and is celebrating his 3rd day in the White Jersey.
Le Tour is famous for being one of, if not the toughest sporting events in the world so to add an extra little incentive for when those legs start to burn we are offering the chance for G to RIDE FOR BEERS! Here's how it works....
White jersey - 25 beers (already secured!)
Top 20 finish - 25 beers
Yellow Jersey - 50 beers
Stage win - 50 beers
That's a total of 150 beers that are up for grabs and we'll even throw in a Fixed Gear Leeds t-shirt! (you can fob it off to Bradley if the size is too small)
Good luck, ride hard and think of how drunk you could be this time next month...
