SR Suntour Messenger Chainset
SR Suntour are brining out a new single-speed chainset at the end of January.
With an affordable price of around £55, this looks like a good option for people building on a budget.
Hopefully we will have our mitts on a pair to review in the near future.

Happy New Year! A recap of 2009 in LSF
2009 was a great year for fixed gear in Leeds.
The early winter months were tough. I remember coming back from Tuesday and Thursday rides and really struggling to take my keys out of my pocket because my hands were so frozen they wouldn't work properly! However hard it was though, we rode through it, and it was totally worth it. Big numbers, frequent rides, frequent beers...
February came quickly and myself and Sam frequently found ourselves staring at bits of paper and computer screens at 2am, drinking out eighth cup of tea, tearing our hair out at the prospect of organising LSF's first event - the Valentines alleycat.
In the end things went really smoothly and everyone had a rad day (apart from ady and alex who had a crash about 10m from the finish!)
A massive shout out to all the sponsors, Donnacha Carroll for making such an awesome video and Mr Craig Nasty who offered wise words of experience.

The next alleycat came a few months later in June. The 'Pentapista' consisted of 5 events. Trick comp, alleycat race, skid comp, hill climb and track stand. A totally different day from the Valentines alleycat, but equally as great! Once again, massive shout to the sponsors, Donnacha and Nasty.

When the summer came, Uni terms finished and the credit crunch took its toll on peoples jobs. A bunch of us were out everyday enjoying the good weather, drink a few beers and riding lots. 'Job crew' was definitely one of my highlights of the summer! However, come the end of the summer, it was time for us to say farewell to a few great riders and friends at LSF. Stu is enjoying the sunshine in Thailand, Ady packed his nap-sack and went in search of a masters degree in London, Donnacha and John grad uated from uni and went back to their homelands and Wozza embarked on his infamous round-the-world-on-$5-a-day trip with his missus. All great riders that have been missed in Leeds.
Ricky Feather started up his own frame building business. Sam designed the headtube badge and downtube graphics, the perfect touch for these freakin' sweet frames!
In November LSF hosted the European premier of The Revival! The film was fantastic and everybody got completely trashed...standards! Film-maker Wayne brought the film over with his mates Kati and Corey and dragged a few London heads up with 'em. It was great to meet all you guys! Mani let us host the event at his bar, Hukaz (the LSF clubhouse) and there was a great atmosphere. Cheers Mani, top bloke.
