Schwalbe are the latest brand to develop such a product - the Durano Skid. Designed to withstand abrasion but maintain grip and pace. Only a 25c is looking to be released at present, which is a shame but I'm very interested in how these will ride. Not one tyre has outdone a gator for me as yet...
