Save Herne Hill

Unite against the destruction of the infamous Herne Hill velodrome.

Please join us to help stop the destruction of the oldest cycle track in Britain. The future of the 1948 Olympic Cycling Championships venue is looking bleak as the site is under-funded and rapidly deteriorating. It provides an exceptional resource for cyclists and the local community and the loss of it would be tragic as it is one of the facilities that makes our area special.

Cinelli x DSC x Eley Kishimoto

I spotted this a while back but for some reason slept on posting it. CycleExif posted these shots, which focus a little more on the infamous patterning and a shot of that pre covered concor.

Artcrank London

The Artcrank London show at Look Mum No Hands opened on friday night. I spoke to Tom from Workshop (they created the 'these are the breaks' print) this morning and he said the show was amazing and real busy all evening.

The standard of the prints looks real high from what is on show at the flickr. I wonder if it'll head north next year...

Prolly Viking

PROLLY VIKING from Jackson Armstrong on Vimeo.

As someone who spends a huge proportion of their life on adobe illustrator, I can't begin to imagine how long this process must have taken. There have been some pretty rad entries for Prolly's new logo but this one from JacksonArmstong has certainly upped the bar!

Nihon Nottingham

For all those that complain that things only happen in London, I have some breaking News.

Nihon Keirin bar is soon to open in Nottingham - I don't have much info on it but you can find out more at the site and via facebook.

If anyone has any details, please send em over...

Vans Vault x Brooks

Man, Its been time since Kyle posted the original teaser shot of these up on Tracko. He followed that up today with this shot showing a little more of the product but more interstingly, the amazing embossing plate for the saddle.

Pictured is another print from exhibitor WhiteDuck. Thanks for the heads up Ty.

This hill in Swansea is a real beast! I know there is some biggies in Leeds but cobbles and rain too!?

Awesome. Video and Words via The Hypebeast

While some question the effect that technology has had on the purest art forms of photography and videography, nevertheless its widespread accessibility has been the catalyst for some amazing work from both the trained and untrained creative. This video shows what you can do with a Canon 7D and editing software Twixtor in After Effects as BMX footage is slowed down after being originally shot at 720p at 60 fps.

Typechase

I have been working on a non-bike tumblr with fellow designer/rider Tom. I posted about it a few weeks back but as Tom has added a few bike pics, I thought I'd give it a little plug.

Some of the vintage bike parts have some amazing typography - the Typechase Tumblr focusses on found type. On buildings, books, bikes, pretty much anywhere except on screen.

There is a submit button up on the site so if you have some hidden treasures, get them sent over.
