Le Tour Infographic

I've always had a soft spot for infographics so when I saw this up on Prolly, posting it here was a no-brainer.

These limited prints are available for just $30 plus shipping from Jerome Daksiewicz site.

Levis 511 Commuter Promo

A friend showed me this video at the weekend - it's pretty awesome. Anyone know anything about the availability of these jeans in the UK?

Another City. Another Race. Another good video.

Gios Torino

I'd buy this just for the fork crown - shit's real! Check out SpokeSniffer's flickr for loads more filthy bike parts...

Dope.

Pretty rad shot I spotted up on Benjamin Taylor Tumblr - always worth a browse. A few shots by Sergio from the Leeds shoot the other night up on there too.

Leeds Leeds Leeds

Props to everyone that showed face yesterday for the Greg Falski shoot - keep your eyes peeled for some Leeds coverage very soon. This photo was one that Kano captured en route: Good work mate...

Scotch & Soda Merckx Jean

Another commuter jean offering from the mainstream comes in the form of these raw denims from Scotch & Soda. Slim cut with world champs detailing but a release date so close to the Levi's 511 commuter range, they'll have some pretty stiff competition.

Rapha: City Riding Jersey

Another new understated garment from Rapha. A knitted one piece (so now stitching) in 100& Merino. As ever subtle detailing and branding so it can work on and off the bike.

Check out more colourways and the full photoset here.

Genre de Vie

Genre de Vie from Photo Booth Works on Vimeo.

Genre de Vie is a project exploring the social effects of the bicycle revival. To quote the intro directly:

In the past few years a growing number of cities worldwide have been (re)discovering the use of the bicycle. Sustainability plays a large role in the motivation behind the revival of the bicycle and takes on different challenges, placing itself in a new and relevant social position. The question then remains whether or not the revitalization and new positioning of the bicycle could contribute to the livability of society.

At present, the film creators are looking for funding to push the project forward. If you are interested in pledging some money, or just want to learn more about the project, check the site out here...

Chrome : Autumn 2011

Chrome has a bunch of new product in the 2011 Fall drop but these two were the ones that really caught my eye. The southside shoe in oiled full grain leather built to see you through the rain (maybe worth trying at the moment) and the Niko Camera Bag, weatherproof, padded bag with a lifetime guarantee. Check these and the other new releases up on the Chrome Bags Site.

100 copies

I spotted this print up on SFGFC from the 100copies site; a number of cycling inspired prints as the name would suggest, limited to 100 prints each. Check out the full collection here.

Feather Cycles : James' Fixed

The latest from the Feather workshop is another banger - the detailing just gets better and better with the bridge detailing on this being the most intricate thing I've seen in a while! Simple colourway and a solid build.

Oo-er Missus

Happy Birthday Leon. You camp mother...

Michael Mercer-Brown

I've published some of Michaels work previously on the LSF blog; he has since featured in Fixed&One and the graphic goodness keeps coming. Two new cycling inspired projects here: check them out in full on his site.

Prow Jam 2011

Despite the horrific conditions on Saturday, the jam went ahead with the long jump taking place mid downpour. Luckily the rain subsided and the park dried pretty quickly so as usual some hammers went down.

Again, a fitting tribute to Charles - Sergio Jensen captured these shots: check out more on his flickr.

Wooden bikes CAN rock!

Here's the proof!

Welcome: Birthday Tees

Welcome Leeds has just dropped a range of shirts for the first birthday party tomorrow - some reprints of the first designs plus the Haringesque party print.

For those around Leeds this weekend; its gonna be huge. The King for a Day BMX Jam on Hyde park all day saturday - this has been crazy the last two years and a fitting memorial to a good guy. As well as free cake and raffles all day instore at Welcome, they are holding a party at Nation of Shopkeepers which coincides with the latest Yorkshire Puddings prem: Dayzed and Confused. No excuses.

Playing catch up a little due to being away from the computer for a few days - here's a nice lil promo for the Flwrider x New Era collab

Visualizing the lines

Pretty interesting bit of film from Vans - well worth a watch. I also just read that Muska got arrested for tagging in Hollywood. Come on man, you're a millionaire skateboarder not a 15 year old from Beeston!

BYOB Alleycat : San Juan

BYOB Alley Cat San Juan from Worldjunkies on Vimeo.

This looks amazing - real good turnout on loads of different bike types. Its always good to see race footage from other cities and the mix of camera angle gives a good perspective on what its like to ride that place.

Spartacus Madone

Trek do a pretty good job with releasing some bangers every year during the tour. These spartacus whips for the LeopardTrek team are no exception : They look mean as hell!

Onitsuka Mexico 66 Cycling

Taking the silhouette of the Mexico 66, Onitsuka added some features targetting the cyclist : A harder rubber outsole. perforated upper and reflective tape worked into the detailing. I'd rock these for sure.

Skoda Tour ad

Skoda are continuing a great run of adverts with this new Tour special.

Familiar Blue

I posted the first of Noca's Custom Bikes a good while back and he just sent over some shots of his new build. Easton scandium with Reynolds fork and a proper aggro geometry again built by Valdemiro. Very nice man!

Geraint Thomas - Le Tour de Beers

As I'm sure you will all remember earlier this year, British cyclist extraordinaire Geraint Thomas became the official international ambassador for Fixed Gear Leeds via Twitter - on the condition that we got him a few beers...
Geraint has been tearing through the field over the last 3 days of Le Tour and is currently sitting 4th in the GC at only 4 seconds off the lead and is celebrating his 3rd day in the White Jersey.
Le Tour is famous for being one of, if not the toughest sporting events in the world so to add an extra little incentive for when those legs start to burn we are offering the chance for G to RIDE FOR BEERS! Here's how it works....

White jersey - 25 beers (already secured!)
Top 20 finish - 25 beers
Yellow Jersey - 50 beers
Stage win - 50 beers

That's a total of 150 beers that are up for grabs and we'll even throw in a Fixed Gear Leeds t-shirt! (you can fob it off to Bradley if the size is too small)

Good luck, ride hard and think of how drunk you could be this time next month...

Feather Cycles Tees : Online Now

Ricky has launched a BigCartel with his logo print tees for sale. Printed on Gildan soft style for £19 - scoop one here...

Fred Perry x NariFuri

The latest line in the collab looks real good - same cycling referenced detailing and some nice tonal patterning.
