The Tweed Run 2010
Over 400 cyclists hit the streets of central London yesterday all dressed in dashing tweed attire for the Tweed Run 2010. The weather was fantastic - the hottest day i've witnessed this year by a long shot! LSF were being represented by myself, Jammy, John and fellow blogger Tom Cutting.
The actual ride was pretty straight forward on paper. It was around 12 miles long and went along as a very relaxed pace with a tea stop halfway, although the reality was that whilst most of us were pottering along yelling period greetings at pedestrians, there was a team of marshals riding around like mad making sure the traffic was stopped and generally keeping everyone in check. Boy, I thought organising an alleycat was tough, but this was just another level. I doth my cap to Teddy who was behind it all and put together an amazingly successful event that will be remembered forever by all who attended and witnessed.
