one of my good friends john keyes (my l'eroica buddy) is travelling from cairo to the world cup as we speak... 4 started in cairo, and another girl joined in addis abeba, and this great chap they met in kenya decided to buy a bike and join them too! john's been waiting for a spare bike part before continuing onto malawi/zambia/botswana - then reach first sa for first england match near joburg, then cruise down to cape town for a month, in time for final.
