Just a little post/poll to see what tyres people are feeling these days. Set up a week long poll on the right - hit up your tyre of choice or leave a comment below if your tyre aint there.
I've tried loads of different options now but always end up going back to gators. With the new hardshell option, all my complaints may be answered too.
Obviously with Trick riders running bigger and bigger tyres, the options are far wider (!) but the poll is focussed on tyres up to 28c for now.

i ride continental on the front wheel but hutchinson intensive on the rear cuz of the extra gum thickness. tires last long as fuck
I use cheapest kenda, that costs near 9$, on rear wheel I have switched 1 tire for 3 months
specialized armadillo
Thanks for leaving the comments - I'll write a post once the poll is finished taking comments on board...
GATORSKIN. nom nom nom
I rock a Vittoria Rando on the rear and I swaer by em, Iv'e tried others and they have failed. If you have the right ratio you wont see thread for ages. And at £13 a tyre how can anyone complain!
Rando. 14 bones from wiggle, they last, it's clear when you need to change or rotate your wheel and they feel so nice to skid.
i've only used gators out of the above, and rate them, but schwalbe marathon plus for sheer depth of rubber are a goodun
Bontrager hardcase foreeeevvvver
Bontrager hardcase
I've been riding the Hutchinson kevlar intensive hardskin tires. They last so long as a rear tire..
gator. if they sorted a decent narrow rando i'd be tempted.
I ride Marek Szczeplek
just discovered conti super sport plus and loving them ......fast and not as sticky as gatorskins.
Continental ultra sport
careful on them super sport plus - I was raving about them but the life aint too long. Credit to Conti though, they feel fucking amazing!
I ran a conti ultra on the back for a while but it's hard to tell when your wearing thin.
I've put my first Gatorskin on yesterday. (would have gone for them earlier if they were available in Brazil...)
Had to import it. Let's see if they're as good as people say. What I can say right now is they ride really smooth.
Before, I rode through many Maxxis Fuses, some Hutchinsons and others.
Oh yes, the front is always any cheap one that goes up to 120 PSI.
Check my blog for more news about FG in Brazil!
rando on the rear and vredstein on the front. Unbeatable combo.
My Schwalbe Lugano has served my pretty well so far but i know some one who uses the blizzard's and they're pretty fond of them, sadly they're twice the price
I’m using the Maxxis Re-Fuse at the mo, no tyre lasts me more than a month and these feel really nice and last the course: http://www.thefootdown.co.uk/2010/04/14/maxxis-re-fuse-tyre-review/
Used to ride a Randonneur on the back and Bontranger hard shell on the front, switched to 28c Kenda K1029 front and back and they're a treat, comfy, skiddy and last ages.
